Spot on!
I would be unemployed if I said something that ridiculous, insensitive and just plain stupid. But that tithing based tenured salary will never stop. Please get a room with a window David.
I was once an Evangelical Christian, and I've spent a large portion of my adult life trying to convince my mormon friends and neighbors that they are worshipping a false god. That the Jesus they are preaching isn't the " right" Jesus. Now, after a wonderful moment of enlightenment, I understand none of this is LOVE. None of it! So, now when I talk to my LDS friends I only care about one thing, what might they need from me? The entire planet is made up of people with vastly different faiths and stories, stop thinking you own the truth, its an ugly and self rightous approach to faith.
This link can help with some understanding http://www.patheos.com/blogs/danpeterson/2016/03/there-are-no-homosexual-members-of-the-church.html
Go ahead and throw links from Mormon sources, quote scripture and tell people to have faith, etc…. It's a LOT more simple than that. They're saying homosexuality is a "challenge" and you have a choice. Nope. Just as much choice as being born a duck. (And you don't get "heaven points" for trying to convince people otherwise). It's 2016, gay marriage is legal, and scientific evidence shows it's NOT A CHOICE. and that trying to suppress it causes psychological damage.
Anyway I find this hilarious π
