Way Below the Angels: The Pretty Clearly Troubled but Not Even Close to Tragic Confessions of a Real Live Mormon Missionary is BYU History professor Craig Harline‘s most recent published personal history. It is a memoir of Craig’s mission years, leaving from Fresno California to the Mission Home in Salt Lake followed by 2 months of language training at the LTM in southern Idaho, with the remainder of his two years spent in Belgium. Craig is able to share the now humorous naivete of an eager 19 year old missionary as well as life lessons in becoming a more empathetic and caring human being.

One of Craig’s other popular works Conversions has also been discussed and featured on 418th episode of the Mormon Stories podcast.
